Elfen Lied

Diclonius are subspecies of humans With two horns on their heads. They have Vectors - invisible arms with extreme power and strength. To make things worse, they have instinct that tells them to destroy humanity. They are kept in a research facility, but one of them (Lucy) manages to escape. She remains with a boy and his sister, and slowly learns human emotions such as love or sadness.

This is one of my favorite action/horror/drama/romance animes.

Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind

Original: Kaze no tani no Naushika

I think this is the first anime I watched. Made in 1984 by Hayao Miyazaki, Valley of the Wind was one of the best anime OVA-s of that time. Story takes place in post apocalyptic world, 1000 years after the event that destroyed most of Earth's ecosystem. Nausicaa is a young princess of the Valley. Her home was invaded by Pejite, one of two biggest countries. She was taken hostage, but she manage to escape. A big swarm of giant insects is threatening to destroy the Valley, so Nausicaa needs to stop them...

Naruto

One of my favorites! :)

Naruto is a young, loud, hyperactive ninja from village Konoha. His dream is to be recognized as a Hokage - the most powerful ninja and also a leader of the village. Alongside his friends, he fought in many battles and completed many missions. One day his best friend and biggest rival, Sasuke, left the village in order to become stronger, so he could revenge his clan. From that day, Naruto’s only goal is to become stronger, so he could bring back his friend to Konoha.

Berserk

Berserk is one of the first anime series that I watched.

The plot is about a young boy named Guts, who carries a sword bigger than he is. Guts is a lone wolf, fighting for money in many wars. One day, he fought Griffith, a leader of a mercenary group called Band of the Hawks. Griffith won the fight, and Guts was forced to join his cause. As time passes by, Band of the hawks grow stronger, and Griffith is one step closer to his goal: to rule his own kingdom. Suddenly, all members of BotH appeared in some kind of hell where Griffith sacrifises them, and becomes a demon. Only survivors are Guts and his girlfriend Casca…
